With the exception of the Monse alpine chalet, whose structure dates back to the 16th century, this is undoubtedly the oldest house in Charmey, dating back to 1656 and featuring two arched cellar doors (destroyed in the 2000s during renovation work) and a large canopy. Its two-storey plank facade over a masonry ground floor and its coyau fold (broken) roof with bôgo gable give it the appearance of typical Charmey residences in the heart of the village. The axis of the grouped windows on the ground floor (2+2+4+1), which is very wide, illustrates the home-based work of lace or plaited straw, which required good lighting and was very common in Charmeys farms.
