Perrevuet house

9
The imposing three-storey double house, known as the Perrevuet, stands symmetrically at the entrance to the village, following the model of the large double chalets in the valley. Its facade is topped by a barrel-vaulted eaves housing a crossing gallery. The two central twin entrances each open onto a corridor and a staircase leading to the first floor. Perrevuet, in patois pèrèvouè, means a pile of stones heaped up in the fields.
The central part of the building was used as a post office between 1924 and 2000.
In front of the house, a fountain was supplied with water from the Entre deux Ruz and Rio de l'Église streams. It was equipped with a shelter topped by a cement basin used by the washerwomen and for washing vegetables. The shelter was demolished when the road was widened in 1970.
